Well, I really think that solar has a big drawback in that it can't practically be scaled to gigawatt-scale capacity, especially not with energy storage on that scale.

There's no such thing as risk-free or drawback-free energy - only drawback-minimised energy - and that's nuclear energy.

There aren't a lot of good options available. Everywhere you look just about every energy source except solar has big drawbacks.

With regards to the above comment, as most of us know, it is entirely false to assume that all advocates of nuclear energy are right-wing Bush-supporting fundamentalist Christians, just as not all opponents of nuclear energy are far-left pot-smoking Marxists.

(Sorry for the poor sterotypes, but you get my point.)

All these liberals talking about dad babies from IPEC's operation themselves favor abortion (calling it the "right to choose" - choose what, death?) and their policy has resulted inthe murder of 50 million babies since Roe v Wade made infanticide legal. We need to tell the truth. The liberals, the Dems and the anti-nukes (all one and the same) are the baby-murderers, NOT IPEC.
